Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi
Your driver meets you at Noi Bai Airport with a Wonderscape signboard and takes you to your hotel for a 2PM check-in. After settling in, you’ll have the afternoon and evening to walk around Hanoi’s old streets at your own pace, getting a feel for the city before heading back to rest.

Day 2 Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Your guide picks you up early for the drive to Ninh Binh province, about 120km south. You’ll see the ancient temples at Hoa Lu first, checking out the 17th-century temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, then cycle through the village to get a sense of how locals live. After lunch, it’s time for a boat trip through Trang An, a UNESCO site with caves and limestone rock formations. The day wraps up with climbing roughly 500 steps to Mua Cave for views across the landscape before driving back to Hanoi.

Day 3 Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
After breakfast, the cruise team picks you up for the drive to Ha Long Bay, heading south through the Red River Delta with its rice paddies. Once there, you’ll board your cruise and start exploring the limestone rocks and caves. You’ll have seafood for lunch on the boat, then head to a well-known cave where you can kayak or swim near floating villages. Back on the boat, you’ll have dinner and options for evening activities or just relaxing.

Day 4 Ha Long Bay to Ho Chi Minh City
Start early to catch the sunrise over the bay with fresh ocean air. Breakfast happens on the boat while you cruise through the thousands of islands, taking photos the whole time. Later you’ll visit a floating fishing village to talk with local fishermen about their lives. Lunch is served on board as you sail back toward Ha Long City, arriving around 3:30 to 4PM. From there, a transfer takes you to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll be picked up and brought to your hotel.

Day 5 Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
You’ll head out to My Tho in the Mekong Delta to see Vinh Trang Pagoda, built in the late 1800s. Then it’s onto a sampan boat ride past the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. You’ll stop at Unicorn Island to walk the country lanes, check out orchards, try tropical fruits, and hear folk songs from performers. Later you’ll take a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal, visiting family businesses, honey-bee farms, and sampling honey tea and coconut candy. In the afternoon, cycle through Tan Thach village to meet people and see daily life, or just relax in a hammock before heading back to the city.

Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City Cultural & Historical Tour
Start with Independence Palace (also called Reunification Palace), a building designed by Ngo Viet Thu on the former Norodom Palace grounds. See French Colonial sites like Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office nearby. Then head to the War Remnants Museum to see exhibits from the Indochina wars. After lunch at a local restaurant, travel about 1.5 hours by bus to Cu Chi Tunnel. You’ll get an introduction and watch a video about how tunnels were built and used during wartime, then explore the tunnel systems where soldiers lived, cooked, slept, made weapons, and treated injuries. You’ll get to taste cassava and special tea (what guerillas ate during the war), and there’s optional time for target shooting. The bus takes you back to Ho Chi Minh City afterward.

Day 7 Departure from Ho Chi Minh City
Have a healthy breakfast and finish checking out by noon. You’ll have time to visit local markets for last-minute souvenirs before your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight home.
